Sequels are created using the same characters with their altogether different journey. We have already witnessed some of the sequels in Bollywood movies.
Movies like Dhoom, Race, Krish, Housefull, Don, Raaz and other such films have continued the installments and received positive and negative responses from the audience.
However, there are total 5 sequels that will be released in the year 2017 itself.
Let’s have a look at the list:
1. Judwaa 2 (29th Sept)
Cast: Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu
Director: David Dhawan
Producer: Sajid Nadiadwala
The sequel will appear on screen after 20 years of the original ‘Judwaa’ starring Salman Khan, Karishma Kapoor, and Rambha. The judwaa (twins) are separated by birth and brought up to become total opposite–one being a thief, and other being a rockstar.
Varun has been taking special military training for some action sequences. He will play a double-role for the first time in his four year’s career, ‘Prem’, a well-mannered geek; and ‘Raja’, a spoiled tapori guy. The original star Salman Khan will join him in the climax, which makes it a more entertaining package.
2. Golmaal Again (18th Oct)
Cast: Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Parineeti Chopra, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tabu
Director: Rohit Shetty

With the fourth installment of the action-comedy Golmaal series, director Rohit completes his 10th collaboration with Ajay Devgn. We saw Sharman Joshi replaced by Shreyas Talpade and Rimi Sen replaced by Kareena Kapoor in ‘Golmaal returns’, Kunal Khemu was added in ‘Golmaal 3’, and now Parineeti has become a part of the gang due to Kareena’s pregnency and committment to other film. Also, Tabu will be playing an additional character after her highly appreciated performance in ‘Drishyam’ opposite Ajay Devgn.
The Golmaal series have always come up with a unique plot in its every sequel. This creates excitement to watch the multi-starrer cast involving in another chaos.

Despite its small cast, 2013’s ‘Fukrey’ was declared a hit because of its unique story, fun-adventurous journey, and weirdly awesome characters. Two friends who end up finishing their school after many attempts finally decide to earn big through a completely different way and this way leads them to much more messed-up situations further. Their natural acting made their characters popular among the people which resulted in its second part.
4. Tiger Zinda Hai (22nd Dec)

The secret agents are back after their previous chase-game in 2012’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. RAW agent Avinash Singh Rathore a.k.a Tiger and ISI agent Zoya falls in love during their mission. When their respective teams want them either separated or dead, they have no option but to elope.
Actress Katrina Kaif has endulged in training for hand-to-hand combating skills, using machine gun, and knife-fighting instructed by a Hollywood stunt and action director- Tom Struthers. The sequel will include more thrill and action which in turn will intrigue us to watch it on big screens.

Cast: Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, Abhishek Bachhan, John Abraham, Kay Kay Menon, Neha Sharma, Esha Gupta, Kader Khan.

Hera Pheri is a comedy drama which revolves around a lot of jugaad (hack) to live a lavish life. After the previous trio – Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty – achieved massive amount of success through ‘Hera Pheri’ in 2000 and ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ in 2006, this sequel introduces Abhishek and John in the absence of Akshay Kumar. The production started in 2014 and went through a lot of issues from directors and actors being changed to the film being cancelled entirely. The latest report, however, suggests that Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have been finalised. The release date is yet to be announced, but it is expected to come in theatres this year itself.
